Make sure none of your janitorial machinery ends up in landfill with our circular machine recycling program

Join The Circular Economy

Everything is recycled or reused. What can’t be recycled is used as a building material. None goes to landfill.

Low Cost Recycling

From £2.50, you can ensure that none of the waste from your old machinery pollutes the environment; helping you gain leading certifications like B-Corp.

A Streamlined Process

We have kept you at the forefront of the process to make it easy and hassle-free. Simply get in touch and then ship your machines to us – we do the rest.

Wessex is committed with supporting our customers to win more business with the furthering of sustainable cleaning practices, promoting a circular economy, and offering a zero to landfill solution for janitorial machine recycling.

Driven by our passion for creating a more sustainable future for the facilities management & commercial cleaning industry, we’ve designed a solution that rids both our operation and our clients’ of all plastic, metals, batteries, and materials from retired or non-functional janitorial machinery that are heading to landfills. We accept everything from used tub vacuums to ride-on scrubber dryers.

Have one less issue to resolve and gain the ability to demonstrate environmental compliance, ensuring correct CSR policies are followed.

What's the process?

Tell us what you have (click me)

Get in touch with us on the below form to start the process. We will need your contact details and the number of machines that you would like to recycle to begin. We will then get in touch to get the machines makes, models, and conditions.

Send us the Machinery

You can send all machinery to our UK warehouse where it will be documented, stored and processed. We will then issue you a Waste Transfer document for your records.

We then distribute

Using our extensive list of manufacturers, we then schedule a component pickup where all machinery is collected and taken to a processing plant for recycling. We do this once a month to lower the Co2 impact on our environment.

Your machine is dismantled and sorted

Once an engineer has dismantled your machine and sorted its component parts into categories, the recycling process begins. Anything that can’t be recycled is shipped to other manufacturers that can make use of it, or it is used to produce energy or building materials for the construction industry.

We then report

Now you will receive a detailed recycling report that will give a raw material breakdown and tell you where all of the components went.

You will also receive a residue statement of any material that cannot be fully recycled and is used for items such as road ballast and building blocks.

Our Reporting Capabilities

Asset Report
The Material Asset Report

The Material Asset Report gives you an inventory of what’s been collected in the batch for recycling. Many customers will send machines in batches when contracts end; this helps you distinguish which machines have been processed and from which site.

If you supply serial numbers, these will also be displayed on this report to help you track what site the machines came from.

The Material Breakdown Report

The Material Breakdown Report is a detailed overview of what has been processed in the batch at a raw component level. The report details the individual components of the machines and their weights and how much of each has been recycled.

The report will also identify how much material can not be recycled and tell you where it’s heading and for what purpose.
