Our unique customer proposition means that you make an immediate and sustainable impact on the UK’s most vulnerable simply by working with us. We invest a percentage of our profits from your orders which are distributed to numerous charities across the UK. We also put sustainability at the forefront of all business decisions to bring you the best solutions.
Our Company Goals
Transparency plays a big part in the Wessex ethos – this is why we actively publish our organisational goals and objectives.
Sustainability and Environment
We only have one earth. The use and manufacturing of chemicals play a monumental part in pollution. We aim to combat this, along with reducing carbon.
In 2021/22, we aim to
- Improve our product catalogue to include more sustainably sourced products
- Invest in green energy for our warehouse and distribution centre to help us become carbon neutral
- Work with suppliers to source a more comprehensive eco range at better prices for our customers.
- Increase our eco & Sustainable range by 100% in 2021.
- Invest further in green fleet solutions
Operational
Through our customer and internal feedback, we are always adapting to changes in the market. While we have some of the highest performance stats in our industry, we always look to build on these to exceed our customer’s expectations.
In 2021/22, we aim to.
- Improve the operational delivery of goods by 20%
- Enhance the management team to deliver our vision
- Further develop our teamwork strategy
Increase customer value
We pride ourselves in “challenging the norm”. We are investing not just money into our customers and charities but time and effort.
In 2021/2022 we aim to:
- Introduce a range of value-added segments to our business – such as Innovation Days and product demonstrations
- Work closer with charities to support local communities across the UK
Reducing Packaging
We are developing our process and systems further to ensure as little packaging is used by grouping products that can be delivered together as one, using the correct sized boxes, so excess packaging isn’t required. This helps us reduce cardboard usage and wastage.
Innovation
Innovation is the cornerstone of Wessex’s approach to working with our customers. We have over 20-years’ experience in this field and have seen many trends and innovations during this time. Our extensive supplier relationships give us access to the latest technology much faster than the rest of the market. Our reputation provides us with the ability to test, review, and get customer feedback before products are released.
Managing our Suppliers
We are passionately committed to responsible sourcing throughout our supply chain. We believe that our customers care about the value of our products and how those products are produced.
We view addressing human rights and other critical issues in our supply chain as both a business imperative and a sustainability priority. Therefore, we have established standards for our suppliers to follow when conducting business with us to identify and manage potential risks. We will be further developing these throughout 2021/2022.
We make no apology for consistently asking a great deal of our suppliers as we maintain our ‘best in high street brand’ and I am delighted to say Wessex have consistently delivered at all times and in all areas of their service. They are pragmatic, knowledgeable and we enjoy a very open, honest and collaborative relationship with them as a service partner”
